Nirvana Aero School has added a new full-time training location to its offerings.

The site was previously home to Skywalk Training School, which ceased operations following the passing of the legendary Ronnie Beukes. Ronnie played a pivotal role in training pilots in the Gauteng region, and his club was one of the largest in the country, with over 100 members.

Under the new Civil Aviation Regulations, the site requires a registered flight school. Fortunately, Nirvana Aero School was able to fulfil this role, having already maintained a partnership agreement with Skywalk prior to Ronnie Beukes’ passing.

The Aviators Paramotor Club has recently been established and launched in the scenic Hartbeespoort Dam area. This new arrangement has also created an exciting opportunity for the Lowveld Slope Soaring Club, Nirvana Aero School, and Aviators Paramotor Club to form a broader partnership. Together, the three organisations will represent the interests of 270 pilots, making it the largest representative body for recreational aviators outside of the official regulatory organisations.

Multiple instructors are currently being accredited under Nirvana Aero School. We look forward to growing the sport significantly by increasing membership, hosting more events and competitions, and expanding our training offerings.

More on this in the future.
